Weather Update for Jammu & Kashmir

Widespread rainfall is expected across Jammu and Kashmir from the evening of 4th October to 7th October 2025. The main spell of rain will occur on 5th, 6th, and 7th October.
From 8th to 12th October 2025, weather conditions are likely to remain generally fair.
During this period, low to moderate widespread rainfall is expected in the plains, while higher reaches will experience snowfall due to the combined influence of a western disturbance and easterly winds.
The impact will be more pronounced over South Kashmir and Chenab Valley, while other regions will receive low to moderate intensity precipitation.
A drop in temperature is expected.
Possibility of thunder, lightning, hailstorms, and landslides cannot be ruled out during the wet spell.
Advisories:
Farmers are advised to store harvested crops safely by the evening of 4th October.
Travellers are urged to exercise caution during this period, particularly in hilly and landslide-prone areas.
